Matthias Niyonzima has been Lawyer since 1990, first joined bar in Brussels and later in Antwerp in 2012. He studied Law at the K.U. Leuven, The Hague and Strasbourg; he was assistent professor for the Law of Contracts at the K.U.Leuven during 5 years (1987-1992) and gave different visiting courses in many parts of the world. Before that, he gave tutorials in Belgian and French Law at King’s College, University of London (1986-87). As Lawyer, he started with the famous Law firm STIBBE (1990-1993); after that, he become a partner at CLAES & Partners (1993-1996) before establishing his own Law Office in june 1996.
In his long legal carrier, he developed his expertise in the following fields:

Matthias Niyonzima is doctor in Law of the K.U. Leuven.
He was assistant lecturer to Prof. Em. Jacques Herbots for many years working in Law of Contracts. He is now a fellow researcher for the International Encyclopedia of Law, writing contributions specifically on Burundi and Rwanda Laws of Contracts. He also gives legal advice for matters relating to those countries and to other countries of the EAC (Eastern African Community). Matthias NIYONZIMA is regularly invited as visiting lecturer of Business Law at the National University of Rwanda and the Sophia Antipolis University of Nice (France).
Matthias Niyonzima works with all Courts in Belgium, especially Antwerp, Brussels, Leuven, Luik and Nivelles. He is available for talk every day between 9am and 5pm from Sunday to Thursday.
